Cookie Policy

What is a cookie?

A "cookie" (“browser cookie”, “HTTP cookie” or “internet cookie”) is a small file, consisting of letters and numbers that will be stored on your computer, mobile terminal or other equipment with access to the internet. The cookie is installed by the request issued by a web-server to a browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari) and it is completely "passive" (it does not contain software, viruses or spyware and it cannot access information on the user's hard disk). A cookie consists of 2 parts: cookie name and content or value. Moreover, the life duration of a cookie is determined; technically, only the web server which sent the cookie can access it again when a user returns to the website associated to the specific web server.

Why do we use cookies?

This automatic data storage technology is used to collect information such as browser type and operating system, the source page, the domain name from which the visitor has logged on to the company website etc. We use cookies to improve the use and functionality of our websites and to better understand how visitors use these sites and the services offered by them.

How do I turn off cookies?

The browser can be configured to reject cookies. Disabling and refusal to accept cookies may lead to slowing down the access of the pages of the site or the impossibility of registration or use of functions that require registration or data collection. The settings on cookies can be changed later.

What types of cookies are used??

You can find the following types of cookies on the website www.regional-air.ro:

Cookie Name Default Expiration Time Description
__utma 2 years from set/update Used to distinguish users and sessions. The cookie is created when the javascript library executes and no existing __utma cookies exists. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics.
__utmt 10 minutes Used to throttle request rate.
__utmb 30 mins from set/update Used to determine new sessions/visits. The cookie is created when the javascript library executes and no existing __utmb cookies exists. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics.
__utmc End of browser session Not used in ga.js. Set for interoperability with urchin.js. Historically, this cookie operated in conjunction with the __utmb cookie to determine whether the user was in a new session/visit.
__utmz 6 months from set/update Stores the traffic source or campaign that explains how the user reached your site. The cookie is created when the javascript library executes and is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics.
__utmv 2 years from set/update Used to store visitor-level custom variable data. This cookie is created when a developer uses the _setCustomVar method with a visitor level custom variable. This cookie was also used for the deprecated _setVar method. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics.
