| In the spring of 1967, the unit moved to the newly
built aerodrome in Tuzla, from where takes place the first flight mission
on March 27th, 1967.
Between 1966-1967 the navigation personnel included the pilots Podgoreanu
Alexandru, Lupu Alexandru and Petcu Vasile, the technicians Irina Neculai,
Bogos Costache and Matei Mihai, traffic controllers Toma Nicolae and
Munteanu Iosif, meteo Ranga Eugen and Ranga Ioana, medical personnel
Dumitru Magda and Matei Maricica, two drivers and four security staff.
Because of the high demand, the unit was an independent Aviasan station.
In 1967 the fleet included two IAR-813 (YR-IDC and YR-IDD), two IAR-817
(YR-ASA and YR-ASD), one IAR-818 (YR-AVC), one Fiesler (YR-MSI), one
MR-2 (YR-MRH) and one AERO-45 (YR-PSF).
1600 flight hours for transport purposes – ill people, biological
material, medical staff, blood and also specialized supervision of agricultural
activities happened in 1967.
The personnel expanded as well with the following people: finance Albu
Ion, medical assistant Vartanesian Michael, traffic controller Atanasiu
Elena, lathe operator Badea Sava.
In 1968, three planes are removed – the Fiesler and the two IAR-818
(YR-SCS). 1800 flight hours took place in 1968.
In 1970, the first agricultural flight took place with an IAR-818 plane.
In 1971, the first SuperAero-45 enrolled as an YR-SAF.
In 1972, is brought the first AllouetteIII helicopter, enrolled as
YR-ELC.
In 1974, on October 1st, Tuzla aerodrome is established, with Tarlea
Alexandru as commander, having under his command two teams: the Utilitary
Aviation – cdt.det.Lupu Alex and the Aviasan team – cdt.det.Podgoreanu
Alex.
In this new formula, ten pilots are detached for agricultural aviation
in Bucharest: Firanescu V, Ariton D, Necula I, Andronache A etc, that
together with another eleven co-pilots, promotion of 1974 – Panait
V, Mihaltu A, Petcu C, Nastase Gh, Iancovici M, Popescu C, Stanescu
C, Trupina C, Popa I, Baraitaru I, Tiganus I formed the navigable personnel
of the utilitarian aviation team.
In the Aviasan team, there were three pilots: Podgoreanu A, Calota
G, Paraschiv N.
The aerodrome’s fleet included: ten AN2 (YR-ANM, ANI, ANN, ANF,
ANA, ANJ, APR, ANE, sa) and Allouette III, two IAR-818 and a SuperAero45.
The technicians were under the command of Botezatu V and were composed
of 45 mechanics.
During the same year, the fuel depot was built with 4 600.000 liter
underground tanks.
On September, 20th 1974, a plane crash took place at Topraisar, with
an AN2 plane (YR-APV) and commander pilot Firanescu dies.
1975- Podgoreanu A is named again the aerodrome’s commander having
two Cdt.Det. Lupu A and Ariton D.
Also two engineers on probation are being recruited Cristescu C and
Ene G.
On July 18th 1972 in Mircea Voda takes place an accident with an AN2
(YR-ANE). The plane is destroyed and the onboard personnel badly injured.
1976- August, following an AN2 crash, two members of the team lost
their lives. Lupu A is named the aerodrome’s commander.
On April 9th 1976, another plane crash takes place, an AN2 (YR-ANF)
in which all the plane’s onboard staff lost their lives.
On November 26th 1976, during a training flight, the AllouetteIII YR-ELG
helicopter crashes on Tuzla aerodrome, in which the co-pilot Magdalena
lost her life and the instructor Arcan L is badly injured.
1981 – On June 22nd, in Stupina town, an AN2 (YR-PVJ) plane hits
the ground while flying at a very low altitude, in which the commander
in training Marin Sorin and the mechanic Dunica I are badly injured.
1982 – In February, Aviasan is abolished/closes down.
1983 – 1989 In August, Petcu C is named the aerobase’s
commander
Aug 1989 m- Jan 1990 Commander Cosmoiu M
Aug 1991 – June 1999 commander Alexandru C
1999 – From June 1999, the aerodrome is took over by REGIONAL
AIR SERVICES
2002 – On July 24th, on Strejnic-Ploiesti aerodrome, an Ka-26
YR-EAJ helicopter crashed in which the mechanic lost his life.
